Dea Sir,I got admission, with little scholarship, in a reputed university in UK. I need about 17 lacs education to fund my MBA. My family is from agricultural background. Banks in India are asking collateral security for loan more than 7.5 lacs. unfortunately, my family does not have any house/flat or other form of security that banks are asking for. We have only agricultural lands, but banks do not accept them.Can you please advise what other options do I have? Is there any mortgage options or anything available for agricultural properties? Please advise.

Banks have an issue with taking mortgage of agricultural property for any loan other than an Agricultural loan. Cannot really think of any solution except that you can perhaps try Credila (www.credila.com) which is a HDFC subsidiary specialing in education loans who may try and come up with an innovative solution if possible.
